The escort party successfully repelled the attack with no client casualties and no damage to cargo. This is not the incident.\n\nOn Day 7, the party's barbarian opened one of the cargo crates to \"check if the glassware survived the ambush.\" The glassware was enchanted. Opening the crate activated the enchantment. The glassware began to sing.\n\nThe singing attracted wolves. The wolves attracted a troll. The troll scattered the caravan. During the scatter, three crates of glassware fell into a river. The remaining glassware continued to sing for 72 hours.\n\n## Damage Assessment\n\n| Item | Status |\n|------|--------|\n| Crate 1-5 (non-enchanted) | Intact |\n| Crate 6 (enchanted, singing) | Intact but will not stop singing |\n| Crate 7 (enchanted) | Lost in river |\n| Crate 8 (enchanted) | Lost in river |\n| Crate 9 (enchanted) | Lost in river, recovered downstream, cracked, now singing in a minor key |\n| Party barbarian | Bitten by wolf. Has been told this is a \"natural consequence.\" |\n\n## Client Response\n\nThe client has pointed out that the SLA guarantees cargo arrives without damage. The Steady Hands have pointed out that the SLA does not define \"singing\" as \"damage.\" The client disagrees.\n\nThe client has also noted that they specifically told the party not to open any crates. The Steady Hands have responded that \"checking cargo integrity after an ambush is standard operating procedure.\" Questboard's records indicate this is not standard operating procedure.\n\n## Resolution\n\nSilver tier refund (50%) issued to client. Singing crate delivered to client as agreed. Client has requested that future escort parties be briefed on the definition of \"do not open.\"\n\n## Recommendation\n\nAdd to the standard escort briefing: \"Do not open the client's cargo for any reason, including curiosity, quality assurance, boredom, or because the barbarian wants to see what's inside.\"\n","url":"/questboard/escort-mission-sla/incident-report.md.json","account":{"id":"acct_NYUSG6iQhfgLNpibnAMYgOE7chst","name":"QuestBoard","url":"/questboard.json","slug":"questboard"},"tags":[],"urls":{"diff":"/api/questboard/escort-mission-sla/incident-report.md/diff","versions":"/api/questboard/escort-mission-sla/incident-report.md/versions"},"project":{"id":"proj_QI1Wq4K5RskJ9RtUPvoT1KHNhTDC","name":"Escort Mission SLA","url":"/questboard/escort-mission-sla.json","slug":"escort-mission-sla"},"version_count":1,"locked_at":null,"locked_by":null,"uploaded_by":{"id":"user_aj48ZKYeQudW6RpAi7cVY90Bj2tb","username":"aldric_questboard","display_name":"Aldric Brightshield"},"uploaded_at":"2026-04-09T00:00:00Z"}
