R&D Proposal: ACME Portable Hole v1

R&D Proposal: ACME Portable Hole

Product Description

A black circle, 4 feet in diameter, that when placed on any surface creates an actual hole. Peels off like a sticker. Can be placed on walls, floors, roads, or cliff faces.

Intended Use Case

Place portable hole on road surface in target's path. Target runs over hole, falls through, is captured in underground chamber below.

Technical Specifications

  • Diameter: 4 feet
  • Depth: appears to be infinite
  • Weight: 2 oz (when rolled up)
  • Adhesion: sticks to any surface
  • Removal: peels off cleanly

Physics Considerations

The portable hole operates outside conventional physics. Internal review has concluded that questioning how it works is counterproductive. It works. That's enough.

Known Issues

  1. The target has been observed picking up the hole and repositioning it under the operator
  2. Holes placed on vertical surfaces (walls) function as tunnels for the target but not for the operator
  3. Painted tunnels on rock faces work for the target but remain solid rock for the operator. This is unrelated to the portable hole product but is noted here because it is extremely frustrating.

Budget Request

$49.99 per hole. Requesting 12 units.
