Rocket-Powered Roller Skates v1

Rocket-Powered Roller Skates

Overview

High-velocity personal transportation device designed for rapid pursuit scenarios across desert terrain. Dual solid-fuel boosters mounted to standard steel-frame roller skates.

Requirements

  • Top speed: 300+ mph
  • Fuel duration: 45 seconds
  • Terrain: flat desert roads, canyon edges, painted tunnels
  • Operator weight: up to 45 lbs (coyote-class)

Propulsion

Two ACME Model 7 solid rocket boosters, one per skate. Ignition via pull-cord mechanism on the operator's back. No throttle control. No braking system.

Steering

Body lean only. The operator shifts weight to turn. At speeds above 200 mph, the turning radius exceeds most canyon widths.

Known Limitations

  • Cannot stop until fuel is exhausted
  • Cliff edges provide no deceleration surface
  • Gravel patches cause catastrophic loss of traction
  • The target has been observed to simply step aside at the last moment
